This is my final portfolio project that I am turning in for two classes, concluding my first semester at SFAI (YAY!). The original idea was “A Day In My Shoes,” where I would photograph myself in the places I go during a normal day in the city (since I now walk/muni everywhere). Boring right? The thing is, the photographs would only have my shoes in them. I wanted to stray away from using people as my main subject, but still have that human element in the photographs. Since I would be photographing, I needed a model (my sissy, Jacki!!) to stand in as me. I was hoping it would rain so I could use my rain boots and bubble umbrella, and really capture the rainy life of SF. But of course, there was not a single raindrop in sight, so I tweaked my concept (yet again). The final outcome - a guy and a girl going about their day in the city, and they finally meet at Union Square. I still plan to do my original concept, once it starts raining more!
Feet models: Jacki Lewis (playing me!) & James Sidela
*Ideally, I wanted this to be viewed in a linear, horizontal line, where the middle point of the series is where the two feet meet up - however I cannot figure out how to do this on Tumblr!! wehhh -__-
Enjoy !!
